Could you tell us something more about Finn and Rose’s relationship? Are they being set up for a romance in IX? What are your thoughts on them together?

I think…yes, there is some groundwork for FinnRose. It wasn’t definitive on Finn’s part, so that’s in the air, but for SURE Rose is in love with Finn (or really likes him).

I liked their relationship journey and I think them together would be interesting – she really showed him his place in all of it. I definitely did get a vibe that Finn was surprised by Rose’s actions – the kiss – in a ‘whoa I never thought of you like that/didn’t expect that’ way, but I think if I were a shipper for them I would feel pretty comfortable about their pairing in Ep 9.

How protective was Reylo of each other?

VERY, imo. I mean at least in the throne room- mainly the only time they were together to BE protective. There were lots of shots of Kylo as Snoke toyed with Rey,etc. – and ofc ultimately he killed snoke instead of her.

And then when THAt happened, the guard attacked. 

There was a LOT of emphasis placed on how Kylo watched her and checked in on her as they fought, and they even traded weapons – he was being choked out by the lsat one and she let him call her lightsaber and killed the guard. He was being choked out (Same time) and saw her losing a battle and IMO its heavily implied that he gave her some of his power to push them off. She killed the guy then saved Kylo by the above.

Rey it seemed like wasn’t AS observant of him fighting, but it was VERY apparent that Kylo was imminently aware of her and danger and protected her as needed – she didn’t need much, and there was a point where he assessed her, decided she was doing fine, and then took out three of them lol

And then at the end he let her go instead of sending the FO after the falcon again – there will be SOMe argument there, but it’s pretty obvious to me.

So he was bringing her to Snoke, and they’re talking about what each other saw when their fingertips touched.

Rey says she saw a vision of him – of his future. That it ‘wasn’t specific, but it was FIRM – if she went to him he would turn to the light/be Ben Solo’.

And Kylo says ‘I saw something too’ – he tells her (paraphrasing) that he knows its her destiny now to rule at his side, and that he now knows – can see – “I know who your parents are, Rey.” and says she’ll end up joining HIM. 

Then she turns so her back is to the openingdoor and stares at him.

IMO they both saw the same thing in essence – but Kylo interpreted it as her being with him on the dark side, when in reality…Rey’s was more truthful, probably.

They were the only ones in the elevator, and it was – like all their scenes – very intense and charged with sexual tension – she was REALLY close up to him. She kept saying she felt his coflict, didn[t have to do this, etc.

So Rey spends the rest of her time in TLJ with Kylo and only reunites with Finn in the last scene? Is it true?

Rey spends a lot of the time on Ahch-To with Luke, but obv cause of the Force Bond most of her time is with Kylo then. I’d say 80% of the movie, Rey is entangled with Kylo.

She only reunites with Finn at the very end – he sees her when she rescues them, they hug and embrace – don’t say anything. And then on the Falcon she watches him put a blanket on Rose. They don’t have any lines together in the movie. 

On a fun note, Poe introduced himself to her – but that’s it, at the end, lol. It basically like a ‘well we have to have them at least officially meet…’

I’m soooo confused with the force bond. Are they like actually in the same scene or does the camera just pan from one to the other? In that case, why did Adam have to go to Ireland?

Basically it’s shot so you see Kylo wherever he is, then cuts to Rey, but they’re looking at each other 0- in the very first scene, Kylo addresses this when he asks if he can see anything else – that he can only see her.

BUT, the ireland thing – there IS a force bond scene where it’s made clear that Kylo is present on Ahch-To when he touches Rey in the force bond. So they were in the hut together. I suspect that scene was shot with them both in the room hence why he had to be there.
