newbie anon here, thank you very much and good night!!! (or good morning, depending on when you get to this) i think you’re 100% right to anticipate more of us; i came out of tfa thinking “ok so rey/kylo?? ehhh, nah, not for me” but after this movie? sign me up!!!!

I think we’ll see a LOT more of folks like you which is FANTASTIC, because that’s what Rian’s purpose was with them in particular – the marketing, the movie itself was made so audiences could be open and prepared and BEGGING for Reylo.

Does Rey have feelings for Kylo, too? Or it’s one sided? How do you see it? And the force bond thing: has rey ended it? Did she look at him with hate?? :(( I have heard from certain fans, that in the ending scene there is a moment between rey and poe and it foreshadows their romance in the next ep. I dont want to see a heartbroken, lonely kylo dying and rey ending up with poe. Please tell me this is not the end game!! :( thanks

First off that stuff with Poe is absolute nonsense. The scene was basically ‘oh yeah they’ve never met’ and then they say hi, I’m poe/Rey, and TH’ATS IT, no lingering looks, just kind of a ‘haha can you believe we’ve not met yet’ scene. Shippers gonna ship, but theirs is not the romance for Ep 9 in any way. I think at best you could probably headcanon that during the time jump they tried it, while she’s trying to focus on anything but Kylo’s bond with her.

I think…for feelings, that there’s SOMETHING BIG on both sides, but for Kylo he’s more…desperate for it/her? Which makes sense. Rey I think was definitely like that until he went renperor, now she’s like wtf dude I tried and gave you such an opportunity and NOW THIS?! So their emotions are both a little complicated of COURSE, I think Kylo’s is more overt whereas Rey’s is subtle.

Rey doesn’t look at him with hate at all past their first interaction, even at the end. At the end it was basically the look you give someone when you’re just disappointed AF and exhausted. And she shuts the falcon door on him (in the bond scene) as kind of like a ‘you done fucked up kylo’ moment.

So yeah Kylo’s not dying lonely, Rey isn’t going to frolicking with Poe Dameron, and all is well in the Reylo land.

So my favorite movie reviewer (Chris Stuckmann on YouTube) said that along with being very dramatic and unique, this is the funniest Star Wars movie to him. What were some of the funny scenes?

It was DEFINITELY a humorous movie yeah for sure. The whole first 10-15 minutes or so was one long humor stretch, some faves:

  • poe literally playing a ‘can you hear me?’ joke on HUX in front of the entire command center lmao
  • hux scenes in general, he was just being batted around by poe/snoke/kylo
  • chewie cooked a porg and was going to eat it but the live porgs were there judging him and guilted him out of it – hilarious sequence
  • the space nuns and rey, lots of situational humor cause she’s blasting through huts cause of kylo and stuff
  • the yoda/luke stuff was humorous in the yoda way

There are more, but yeah it was definitely a LOT funnier than I had expected to be honest.

Someone in the reylo forum basically said that it’s better to lower expectations regarding reylo (she saw the movie too). so, what’s the truth? i’m :(

Well that’s up for opinion and speculation, tehy’re probably imo putting WAY too much faith into the last scene where Rey closes the door on Kylo intheir last force bond moment.

Listen, This was all set up. It is WAY too overt now to not be realized in ep 9. That’s all there is to it.

And again lowering expectations is…subjective. Like,what are your expectations? That she’s pregnant and having kids at the end of 9? then yeah lower those a bit lol

You just have to find people who have similar expectations, and see how they react, then you’ll know ‘what the truth’ is – but ultimately I see only good things in our future.

I heard that there was almost a kiss between Rey & Kylo is that true? Also do u think Reylo’s will be satisfied?? (I’m seeing it tomorrow and i love ur account btw!)

Honestly…yes I think there were SEVERAL moments that they could have kissed and I would not have been the least bit surprised. They were in close quarters multiple times, but I was honestly half expecting a Kylo-runs-to-rey and kisses her moment after they kill the guard. It was that kind of pacing/experience. Seriously.

I think I answered that question earlier, but basically Luke had sensed growing darkness in Ben, and when he went to read his mind as he slept he realized that it was ‘totally overcome’ and on ‘instinct’ lit his lightsaber to kill Ben. 

He says that he changed his mind almost immediately, but it was too late – Ben had woken up to see his Uncle with a crazed expression and a lightsaber hovering, so called his own and brought it up against his then exploded the hut (presuming Luke dead) and temple.
