I don’t understand why some “Reylos” are becoming šŸœ? Reylo was amazing in this film! I saw a person who use to be a Reylo became an šŸœ because Reylo was “abusive” in this movie… I don’t understand……

I have no idea, but I havenā€™t seen any of that – just happiness and Iā€™ll keep it that way.

I would say itā€™s really surprising if thatā€™s true, because as ALWAYS Kylo was immeasurably softer with Rey, and Rey responded in kind. They were both eminently compassionate to each other in this movie.

The only scene that would make people goĀ ā€˜uhh what?ā€™ would be hisĀ ā€˜youā€™re nothing, no one.ā€™ followed up byĀ ā€˜but not to meā€™ – but to that I honestly respond with: are you reading the context of the scene? Heā€™s not talking down to her, negging, emotionally abusing her – heā€™s being FitzwilliamĀ ā€˜inferiority of your birthā€™ Darcy and being very Skywalker – he doesnā€™t know how to TALK TO PEOPLE. And he doesā€™t see ANYTHING wrong with just being blunt, honest about itĀ  because sheā€™s lied to herself SO HARD FOR YEARS, and Kylo has never been anything but honest with Rey.

He doesnā€™t care about her past, or anything like that, he cares about her.

i do not think rey and poe have the possibility to happen but the antis are stating that they are going to be together you can not trust jj abrams

I said it last night and Iā€™ll say it again: donā€™t believe or listen to the antis.

THEYā€™RE THE ONES WHO SPENT TWO YEARS BEING SO ABJECTLY WRONG ABOUT REYLO AND STAR WARS THAT ITā€™S REALLY UTTERLY INCOMPREHENSIBLE HOW WRONG THEY WERE.

And not to MENTION – they were not only WRONG, but they spent those years HARASSING THOSE OF US WHO DARED TO TALK ABOUT IT AND SPEND OUR TIME WITH IT.

They are NOT worth your time. My inbox is FILLED with shitty asks from antis and am I responding to them? No. Theyā€™re being ignored because they donā€™t deserve my time and they donā€™t deserve ours.

I really love – more than Kylo just being shirtless – him allowing himself to be truly vulnerable with Rey during that scene. She’s the only one to see him so physically and emotionally stripped down. There’s significance there to him progressively stepping closer to her and giving her the “let go of the past” speech while in such a state of undress. It’s incredibly intimate and probably the most intimacy Rey’s had with anyone. And out of anyone, it’s Kylo.

Yes, I love this point so much especially because we know theyā€™ve talked a lot about peeling back layers both physically and emotionally.

He didnā€™t even seem concerned that she was there, heā€™s too enraptured by her to really focus or respond to her request to put a cowl on (oh, Rey honey…).

He also – in the hut scene – when she reaches out to him so slowly, he REMOVES HIS GLOVE. Why would he do that? Because he needed to touch her. Skin to skin. Itā€™s so powerful. They were both being so open with each other emotionally and he yearned for it. Iā€™m reminded of the long asked Reylo question: How long has it been since Kylo has touched somebody without gloves on?

WELL WE KNOW NOW DONā€™T WE?

And yes, they were both emotionally laid bare – she was asking all the questions about Han, Luke, and when she mentioned Leia he was basically like ENOUGH, DONā€™T YOU SEE?

Intimacy is something that Kylo and Rey have never had very much of. We knew this, but itā€™s so very apparent in these scenes and itā€™s just really so heartwarming.

And speaking of intimacy, the throne room scene where he is IMPLORING her to admit what she knows about her parents FOR HERSELF – HEā€™S TRYING TO GET HER TO ACCEPT IT, ACCEPT HER PAST EVEN THOUGH HE CANā€™T DO IT HIMSELF.

And how he shakes his head and saysĀ ā€˜NOT TO ME. NEVER TO MEā€™ he basically is telling Rey thatā€™s sheā€™s everything to him and he loves her (in so many words).

And then he EXTENDS HIS GLOVED HAND and implores her and sAYS PLEASE. HE BEGS HER TO STAY WITH HIM. But heā€™s still layered – thereā€™s still that final layer. The hands that touched hers are hidden again and she says no.

I just…ugh weā€™re so blessed.

OKAY I AM SEEING TLJ THIS EVENING AND DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS HOW TO HANDLE DEM FEELS? MY EMOTIONAL SELF WOULD TOTES OUTBURST AT EVERY REYLO SCENE (EVEN THOUGH I HAVE SPOILERED A LOT TO MYSELF ALREADY XD)

KEep your hand near your mouth. Yes Iā€™m serious. I put my hands around my face as I watched.

To be fair, Iā€™ve only watched it in a theater once with my friend ONLY – we were the only ones. And then again with her and maybe a handful of others…so there wasnā€™t a lot of incentive to contain the feels as both she and I were cursing and squealing and reacting out loud.

But then..I was totally spoiler free.Ā 

So basically I have no advice for you and you should just outburst away. fEel the reylo.

So what do you think about Lukeā€™s final words to Kylo ā€œsee you around,kid.ā€? Is it now only Rey who can bring Kylo back? Leia and Luke seem to have lost all hope.

It was a reminder that Kylo is Lukeā€™s nephew whom he loves, that Kylo is still very much that lost kid as evidenced by their duel, and that he hopes to see him again – in the Force. Which you can only do if you die at peace/balance with the Force.

Rey is the one who will be Kyloā€™s tether – even if Carrie Fisher hadnā€™t died. But now definitely itā€™s Rey because Leia wonā€™t be there.

I donā€™t think Leia and Luke have lost hope, but I think Luke realizes that heā€™s not the one to bring Ben back (Kylo sees too much red when heā€™s near) – and tells Leia as much. But he also tells Leia that no one is ever truly gone.

Hi! Do you think that Kylo & Rey’s relationship is one sided? I definitely got a romantic vibe from him, but no so much from Rey. I’m worried that this thing between them won’t be reciprocated in IX

Itā€™s not one sided. Rey and Kylo clearly shared intimate stories and discussions with each other – she told him how alone she felt, how lost she was, and they B O N D E D. Not force bond, but actually emotionally bonded.

I think they both wanted each other to come to their side and fulfill that shared vision/destiny, but they both were unwilling to compromise.Ā 

I think episode 9 will show maturity – if this is the adolescence showing up as was described by Rian – then the next movie will have them both sayingĀ ā€˜okay, I can give a little on my stance because I need you. I love you.ā€™

people are scared of rey and poe what do you think about it?

I think theyā€™ve had one line of dialogue to each other and half a scene in two movies and any speculation about them being a couple or romance is a little outrageous (to expect it to be canon).

Especially considering they just spent an entire movie about how Rey and Kylo share destinies and are completely intertwined and how every scene has implicit sexual tension.

People are gonna be worried about every dude with a pulse that comes close to Rey, but you have to look at the story. Her story doesnā€™t point to Poe and some flight-based romance. Her story points to Kylo and the Jedi.

And seriously where are these people who are worried? I keep hearing it and seeing asks about it but Iā€™ve not seen anyone actually say theyā€™re worried on my dash or twitter…
