I walked into the movie not really caring about reylo, and walked out shipping it really hard, I was so pissed tho that Kylo didn’t join the resistance and become Ben Solo, I mean Rey saw it, she saw that he would join them, is that still true? But if it is join them against who? snoke isn’t there anymore and he is the supreme leader… what will they do to him if they realize that he’s the one who killed him and not rey? Also how did snoke not know that Kylo was going to kill him and he said-

-that kylo was no longer conflicted and he now chose a side, at first when he killed snoke I thought he chose the good side but now he apparently he still is conflicted? I’m confused about that…

Kylo Ren isn’t going to turn ‘back’ overnight. What happened in TLJ was already a  HUGE step – he threw off Snoke, his master and manipulator since BIRTH. That’s enormous. Rey realizes that, but obviously wants him with HER – she’llhelp him. But Kylo is like ‘I ALREADY DID THIS FOR YOU, YOU’RE EVERYTHING TO ME, JUST STAY WITH ME???’

They’re at an impasse because BOTH of them only see one side or the other as being options, not a grey middle ground. They will in ep 9 though, watch.

And I think Rey saw that he would join them – in the middle ground, as Kylo, as someone who is neither light nor dark purely. And they will be by each others’ side (thus fulfilling Kylo’s vision as well).

I think Hux will find out that Kylo is the one who killed Snoke and all HELL will break loose – coup incoming, open rebellion in the ranks, etc. which resistance makes use of.

As for Snoke not realizing – that’s where the beauty comes in. Kylo CHOSE a side, he was no longer conflicted – because he believed his destiny is with REY. He just thought that meant on the side of the FO. So he chose HER, the conflict is gone – that choice is clear. So with that passion he was able to be STRONGER than Snoke expected, strong enough to fool him.

He showed Snoke EXACTLY what he wanted to see – the lightsaber, the intent…but showed him the wrong target (Rey, not Snoke). He manipulated SNOKE, because he felt resolve – for Rey. For his path, their path.

And when he makes his speech to Rey he says that – he wants to forget it all, and just bring order to the galaxy again – with her. And that’s what he’s so certain of. It’s about sides again, but the only way for them to ever realize that shared destiny is when they both realize that BALANCE is the name of the game.

Ok so I think the fact that Leia (God rest Her soul) won’t appear in XI cements Reylo. I can imagine both Rey and leia being Kylo’s anchors but with Leia not appearing in XI it leaves it all on Rey to save that poor lost boys soul and I don’t think that they’re just going to let that slide. If anything Leia not being in XI will drive Kylo into Rey’s arms. Opinions?

10000000000% agree. I think Reylo was happening anyway but the fact that Carrie won’t be able to reprise her role as Leia just makes it even more firm.

I think that Kylo and Rey are going to be tormented constantly by their force bond – tormented because of their complicated situation and emotions, not by each other – the fact that theyre on two sides and still yearn for each other, that peace they found on Ahch-To.

So I think that whatever path Kylo is on in Ep 9 for redemption AKA MAKING BETTER CHOICES KYLO will be heavily influenced by Rey. 

Do you think it was really Snoke who build the Force bond between Reylo or did he fabricated the whole story?

I think the bond already existed. Snoke is powerful, but he knew nothing about the girl – didn’t have access to her. So at the very most he knew about the bond and allowed it to fester and take its natural course and then bragged about it cause he’s like that.

And I think Kylo would agree with me – when Snoke said that they shot to Kylo who was like ‘uhhh no?’ – Kylo firmly believes that the bond is destiny, as shown by the vision when they touched. And it’s clear that he IS strong enough to hide these things from people – including his master, Snoke.

hux was reaching for his gun and planning on killing kylo before he woke up. couple that with kylo lying about who killed snoke, the force choke and their interactions during the fight with the resistance, you are guaranteed some form of conflict in the ep9.

I think there’s going to be a coup or splinter cell of some kind that causes a lot of the conflict in ep 9. And I’m honestly not totally discounting the idea that Kylo is exiled.

What did you think of Rose?

I really liked her! I think she was pretty adorable and a good representation of what the resistance is in their hearts and minds.

And I think it was important for Finn to see someone like her – and for us to see it – because the whole idea of the movie was that hope never dies, as long as there are people out there there will be those who will fight against oppression and tyranny – look at the kids at the end.
