can u recommend any fanfiction that’s about reylo wedding or reylo having babies?

hoo boy, so I’m not the best person to answer this question as I tend to drastically avoid pregnancy fics but I’ve read sOME so here are my recommendations. If I’ve read it even with the pregnancy/kid storyline that means it was just SO captivating for me personally that it overrode it.

The Moon, the Sun, and the Star Inbetween – this one is just the cream of the crop to me, SO good and such a great balance between Kylo Ren’s struggle, the struggle between light/dark, and how having a child together affects it.

In My Bloodstream – admittedly it has been awhile since I’ve read this, but I remember when the one-shot came out VERY early on I was DEVASTATED and then to see it continue into a beautiful multi chapter was amazing. Although I wouldn’t really count it as a pregnancy fic…

The Proof of it All – AAAAAAAAAAANGST, also incomplete, but god DAMN it was early angst and beautiful and I want to cradle it

Redemption and Ruin – its a behemoth and worth reading

The Force Arranges a Marriage  by @terapid is one that sticks in my mind when you ask about wedding, but it’s very nsfw lol

so those are my suggestions, but @reylofic has a much better list for pregnancy fic here. and for arrange marriage fics here.

Do you think the biggest hurt for Reylo fans would be if Rey cuts Ben’s hand off in ep 9, a big symbol of cutting off their connection?

The biggest hurt for reylo fans would be if she kills him…

So no, that’s definitely not on our list of concerns. It would also be really silly, I don’t think that’s happening (there’s ‘paying tribute’ to past movies, and being corny with it – that would be too much. especially because it should’ve happened in 8 if at all).

I think they already had their ‘symbol’ of cutting off (even though it wasn’t, it was symbolic) in her closing the door until he gets his stuff together =)

God I can’t wait for the novelization! We are going to get even more Reylo!! When do you think the leaks will start for the novel?

I honestly can’t breathe when I think about how we’ll get insight into their scenes and the ending especially.

I can’t say when leaks will happen because with TFA novelization it was released like a day after the movie, and I went into that movie completely blind of anything bu the teaser trailer.

However, I’ve seen some people mention that there were leaks from the novel before hand – from review copies and the like – but I think that’s mostly because it was NEW and people wanted the plot revealed.

With TLJ, that’s not really the case as people will have already seen it, so I find it hard to believe we’ll get any real leaks.

We may, however, get some reviews or snippets in articles maybe a few weeks before. Although press and marketing for something like this is usually not that big. If they time it with the DVD release, though, we might get some.

Wouldn’t Ben have felt Rey’s pain when she was being tortured?

Are you saying he didn’t? The guy has a very high pain tolerance, and took a bolt of force lightning to his body and seemed relatively unphased by it in the early part of the movie.

I’m not saying it’s certain one way or the other, but to me that doesn’t exclude the possibility. The way he was looking at her as she was being raised up and tortured – he seemed to be trying to control himself. And I won’t discount that he may have been feeling her pain, but it’s something that he knows all too well – and how to deal with it.

Side note – very side note – I think it’s also very interesting that they showed the last praetorian guard for each of them held them in very much the same way.

if one of them died what would happen if the other survived? how much would Rey be affected by Ben’s death?

Well the theory behind Force Bonds (which is what they have) is that if one dies, the other cannot survive – it’s almost like their soul is ripped in half since they share consciousness across the Force. So if one is snuffed out, they die.

Of course, that’s based on Legends-type of Force Bond and they might not necessarily write it that way – they already gave us a stronger Force Bond than in legends actually, in that they can physically see and touch each other (they couldn’t in Legends stuff, it was more telepathy and sharing of minds).

So I tend to think that if one is severely wounded, that the other would share in the experience and pain to a certain extent. Rey didn’t seem affected by the blaster shot to Kylo, but it was early on in the bond – it’s definitely something that develops strength over time, as we’ve seen.

I think that…if Ben dies, she’ll spend the rest of her days feeling sundered emotionally and physically – because of the bond she shares (both Force-made and emotionally).

And I’m sure there will be fanfic that explore the exact emotions, and when I feel especially angsty I might write one myself because I’ve already killed them once.

I was reading your metas and found out about revan and bastila.. And now I’m fond of them too! But alas the game came out in the early 00’s and there’s almost no content now :/

Knights of the Old Republic is a single-player RPG game and you can absolutely still play it! You can get it on Steam as a PC game for like $10.

And then follow it up with KOTORII

If you like the story and want to experience it, I would highly recommend it. It’s so good. So, so good. You’ll have to adjust again to the graphics and stuff (since it’s like 14 years old) but it’s worth it =)

What happens if one of the two dies? I think it’s possible

Do you mean like, to the Force? Nothing will really happen, but if the Force feels the universe is unbalanced (like if Kylo stays too dark without any counterweight) then it might try to course correct again.

I don’t think it’s likely that one of them dies, though. Kylo and Rey are going to live their best lives being the balanced couple that they are, once he saves himself and she reads the Jedi texts.

if ben will return to the light how will there be balance? this will not happen, it will remain in the dark

This is the flawed thinking that got everyone in trouble in the first place.

TRUE balance is achieved within one’s self – see the image of the Prime Jedi, the obvious yin/yang of Star Wars imagery. You can even go back to the inspiration of Star Wars – particularly the Force and Jedi themselves. Very similar to monks and philosophies of the Eastern world. They value balance within oneself, as it mimics the natural world.

The ‘dark’ side of the Force is alluring and a deep pool of water, easy to get swept away in it – but it’s necessary to acknowledge your darkness and balance it. Wildfires happen in nature as a cleansing, but wildfires are destructive right? So aren’t they ‘dark’ or the ‘violent’ side of the world/Force? People have that inside themselves as well, but you can’t be all destruction or else you’re not balanced.

People can’t be all ‘Light’ either – because without failure, without destruction – and yes even without suffering – you can’t grow and learn. You’ll forever stagnate – and that’s what Yoda was telling Luke. That to fail is to learn, and that’s balance.

The Force is just an energy field that thrives on balance, and when people abuse it (all light or all dark) it throws the universe off balance and into disharmony.

So to say that the Force wants ONE full-dark and ONE full-light user is folly. It values balance – Kylo may always be a little bit more dark than light and Rey vice versa, but that’s just how life is. What really matters is the actions and choices they make.

This is a crazy leap, but go with me here. Watch the Fifth Element scene here:

So the dude goes on this monologue about how it’s totally cool that he wants to destroy the universe and stuff, because that’s just how life goes. And on some level he’s right – destruction is natural and healthy for the overall progress and good of the world…but what he’s doing is by definition UNNATURAL. Similar to the Sith, he’s using the dark side of the force for selfish and unnatural reasons, thereby corrupting himself.

The theory he’s talking about is not necessarily wrong,  sdlkfjdslk dsfsd but it is a warped view of the world and his place in it. Hubris at its finest. That’s kind of what the Sith were in the end. They were unnatural, so no Kylo won’t remain 100% dark because that’s not true balance the way the Force sees it.

Balance within one’s self is the true goal of any Jedi 😉
