Nope. Right there with you. I saw a really great fan theory vid from cracked on YouTube the suggests that Obi was her secret lover and part of the reason he was so angry with Anakin was because HE was the father instead of Obi Wan. Screw Anakin and Padme, that’s an awful, unhealthy relationship

That’s a cool theory! And it’s one I’d love to see fics of. I love Obidala, Padmé deserved so much better.

I like the IDEA of Anidala, tragic lovers who try to be together in secret but end up being each other’s downfall… but… it was just so unhealthy and I know I ship Reylo, who are decently unhealthy at times depending on how they’re written… but Anakin straight up choked Padmé out and was just… awful when it came to her.

I hated canon anidala, but why I LIKE the comparison is mainly because they COULD have been amazing if done right. And I think that’s what we’re seeing with Reylo to an extent (reversed). The idea always was great imo. In canon I’m much more an obidala fan, canon anidala sucks (sorry everyone) and I wanted to love it so much.
