HI! Before I dive into reading for the evening I just have to shout out a modern au fanfic that I’ve been absolutely loving.
It’s called Indelible Patterns by Zendelai (not sure if they have a tumblr but if they do – hello!) – Kylo and Rey are tattoo artists and it’s so. good. Anyway, just thought yall would enjoy – you know me and my modern aus lately, we’re like DIS
Helllooo! I’m quite new to the Reylo fandom and am slowly navigating my way around the amazing fics you have here. Are there are any like ‘super standout’ fics that you think are a *must* read for being in this fandom?
I’m interpreting this as fics that probably get talked about/referenced a lot, so here ya go! Also if you’re new, please definitely check out my Reylo FAQ. I don’t talk about it much, but it IS very helpful I think =)
It gets recommended a lot, but for very good reason, but Interstellar Transmissions by @ricca-raccoon and lovelythings is mandatory to be quite honest. It was one of the first big fanfics immediately after TFA, and it still to this day is iconic and basically a TLJ primer lol
Forms by @avenrue would be another one – it popped up literally 3 days after release of TFA and I remember gleefully dying all the way through January with it.
The Conviction of Things Not Seen is another early one that goes through the ‘what if’ of Ben Solo coming back to the Resistance. I don’t know if you’ll see it talked about a lot, but it counts as a stand out IMO.
The Moon, The Sun, and the Star Inbetween is another one thats pretty legendary/standout. Stays true to the dynamic of Reylo while throwing a kid into the mix 😉
Like Young Gods by Disasterisms is PADAWAN BEN SOLO GOODNESS.
IDK..there’s so many, I would just start there as they’re all AUs and I feel like that’s a good primer for fandom. Read my FAQ and it has others and my ff-rec tag =) Enjoy!

Hello there! Yesterday I read “You’re Hard to Resist (When you’re on y our knees)” thanks to your recommendation and I was wondering if you know more Reylo with Omega!Kylo (◕‿◕)
Hiii! I did remember that I’ve read Be Mine, which has Omega!Kylo in it!
I think there are others out there, but they’re not really my style – ie, they deal with like..mpreg or like all omegas have vaginas and it’s just not my thing.
If you’re willing to venture into other Kylo ships (not my thing), I’m sure you’ll find some more there though =)
Sorry I can’t be more help! Though if you like Omega!Kylo, you might look for fics with him as a sub and Rey as a domme – similar dynamics, mechanics are different but..=)

A Matter of Size – definitely subscribe to this one because occasionally she’ll throw out a new chapter, but it’s not written as a story-story – though it is chronological!

I’ve been watching Never Been Kissed again – haven’t seen it in forever. If you haven’t watched it, I would really put it on your list!

And I HAVE to say that this was 10000% inspired because of the fic I’ve been reading – Second Time Around – It’s inspired by the movie, but definitely a different telling and it feels SO Reylo. I highly HIGHLY recommend it – it deserves all the love. =)
Okay silly need but… do you know of any coffeshop AUs or similar?
That’s totally not silly! Coffeeshop AUs are a staple of all fandoms, even ours, for a reason =)
…however, I don’t really read coffeeshop AUs unless I’m in a mood. Usually too fluffy, but here’s one that sticks with me:

I wish I knew how to break this spell – this is not a fluffy coffee shop au, but rey works in a coffee shop and a lot of it takes place there…? it’s so good so regardless I have to recommend it.

However I’m really bad at bookmarking/tagging BUT for this ask I’m going through all my subs because THIS topic is my love, my life.
for it is not permitted that we stay – I can’t NOT recommend my two one-shots, this is a series that houses all my reylo one-shots, and both are angsty af so enjoy
and find your way back home by @greyjedireylo – this is not technically labeled angst, but it hits the right notes for me and tugs my heart because it’s basically ben trying to get his shit together
before the saber swings by @waterlilyrose – OKAY YOU DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH A FIC CAN RIP OUT YOUR HEART UNTIL YOU’VE READ THIS ONE. I read it ages ago and I’m still a bit upset about it.
english girls, approximately by @pythiaspeaks modern au, so so good – singer/songwriter au which is a weakness too. It’s not intentionally angsty, but because kylo is himself a ball of angst its naturally so – and just well written.

Do you know of any NSFW fics with “inappropriate use of lightsabers”?
The only one I’ve ever read with it is in my fic, beauty of a secret. Specifically, chapter 8. While it’s a multi chapter, you don’t really have to read all of it if you’re just in for the kink – the story makes sense, but each chapter/smut will make sense stand alone. I still laugh when I think about the comments on that chapter and the reactions to it, lol.
And I saw this in the tag and haven’t read it yet, but I know it’ll be good and appropriate is the force arranges a honeymoon by @terapid. Technically it’s the sequel to a fic, so again it’s recommend you read the first one but if you’re not picky about things making sense then go for it.
SIDE NOTE, I went to the Ao3 tag for it and got really sidetracked by the fact that out of 59 works for it, only 4 were Reylo – the rest are Kylo/Reader and Original FEMALE Character which just irritated me cause it feels like they’re from antis who are writing reylo-but-not-reylo. I know that’s not true for some of them, but LKJSDLFKNEWR,FNM.
