Do u think Poe Rey is a thread?

I’ll assume you meant threat, and no I don’t think so in terms of canonverse. The story is building towards Reylo as endgame and that’s that. We shouldn’t be concerned about it, or see the ship or shippers as any kind of threat.

We need to stick to what we’ve been doing for two years and sticking to the ship and let ship ideal while remembering that there’s a difference between defending a ship’s canon relevance vs fandom relevance. I hope that makes sense! Just enjoy Reylo and the story strands that are strengthening towards endgame canon.

Now that you’ve mentioned that the blue lightsaber belonged to Ben… how did Maz had it? She said it was a story for another time in TFA. Could Maz know Ben and his shared destiny with Rey? I mean, she was basically pushing Rey to “ahed” and the forest. I don’t know why but it seems like everything is connected. What do you think??

Yeah! So that was actually a huuuge debate topic with my friend after our 3rd viewing, because we weren’t sure but we THOUGHT that his lightsaber in the flashback was Anakin’s – and when we confirmed it with the 3rd viewing…we were left with more feelings and questions.

Kylo means it literally when he says it belongs to him and he looks pissed that she has it – so I don’t think he left it there or lost it. I think it was taken or whatever.

And Maz has of course more than once hinted at Reylo, and is a force user, so I’m kind of thinking that she was guided by the force to find the lightsaber (or it found its way to her) – how Kylo lost it, I don’t know.

Everything is certainly connected yup! But it would be nice if we got some backstory as to how Maz got the lightsaber.

I’m really sorry if this is a repeated question, but what do you think will become of Rey and Kylo’s relationship in the next movie? Do you think they’ll be enemies again or somehow gravitate to each other again, and MAYBE just possibly Kylo will redeem himself . I can see both playing out in some form or another, but Idk. What do you think is plausible?

IT’s okay! There have been a lot of posts so I get it =)

It’s a big question of course, but my stance is mostly that the force bond isn’t gone, there’s going to be a long time jump similar to esb -> rotj, and that leaves a lot of time for the bond to deepen – and more time for Kylo to be plagued by Rey and vice versa.

So they’re tied forever honestly through the force.

I think there will be some sort of Hux-led coup and maybe Kylo is exiled, or something to that effect. I honestly am not really sure how Ep 9 will play out, but I know how it will likely end – with Rey and Kylo together in some firm and romantic way. With Kylo making the RIGHT, the BETTER choice – and with Rey giving a little on her end in terms of the ‘side’ argument.

Because I think Rey is going to learn in those few years, read the Jedi books, that you can’t have sides in the Force and still be balanced – it can’t all be about Light, you can’t ignore that dark power exists as well – the way the Jedi did so often.

And I think that Rey will help Kylo with that, I think she’s much more balanced in her Force use than anyone I’ve seen. 

The lesson of Ep 9 will be, I think, that it’s all about your choices on how to use the power – that was hinted at a lot in this one – Rey says ‘he hadn’t chosen’ to Luke. His mind/heart was supposedly ‘filled with darkness’ but he hadn’t left, he was still with Luke training. He hadn’t made any choice until Luke made it for him.

Hi there! After watching TLJ I am so positive that these two are so into each other….but, I’m wondering, what are your thoughts on Rey at the end of the movie? If she cared for Ben at all, I feel like she would be more glum at the end….

Someone said it juust earlier and I reblogged that I hadn’t thought about it, but –

aside from me thinking that during the last force bond scene, she just looks disappointed in him – in that quiet fiery way.

BUT someone pointed out that when she’s watching Finn/Rose at the end there, she looks a little smiley-sad, as if she’s happy to have her friend back and safe – but also sad because that could have been her and Ben if he had come with her.

But there’s no doubt in my mind at all that she cares for him still, even after being an idiot. Rey’s too loving and forgiving and they bonded so deeply for that to just go away IMO.

I’m so glad critics are calling out the romance/sexy times between reylo. It’s just reassuring when you see okay, it’s not just us with shipping goggles. Even now with Mark, Daisy and Adam dropping cues

I mean, it’s REALLY hard to miss it when it’s basically half of the movie. But yes, I think I want to have an ongoing slideshow of the critics’ quotes about it to be on my grave. Just scrolling through all the quotes about UST and horny star wars scenes and hand porn. Just put it on my grave.

And Mark is a gem, but ADAM even talking about it in a slightly romantic tone and the Stephen thing…? Yes. Please.

As much as I think the song could apply to Kylo, people are taking the interview with Daisy’s karaoke answer the wrong way. She isn’t being asked what karaoke song would be good for Kylo, she’s being asked to sing her favorite karaoke song while doing a Kylo Ren impersonation. It just so happens to be that Daisy’s fav song works for Kylo.

I think people are understanding that, however what we love is how APPROPRIATE Daisy’s favorite karaoke song is for the task at hand. It’s so coincidentally funny, that’s why when she’s asked to do it she thinks about it and makes a face cause she’s realizing:
