Do you mind me asking how ‘R’ BlackKklansman is? I don’t usually go to R movies, but I’d be willing to make an exception for Adam. I’m okay with what the subject matter is; I’ve watched Mississippi Burning and A Time to Kill, among others. I like to watch movies on history. Argo was rated R, but the majority of that was because of language. I just don’t like excessive blood or stuff like that.

Absolutely I do not mind! The R rating is most definitely only for language, there isn’t any blood at all or like graphic violence, etc. so I think if you were ok with the movies you mentioned, you’d be fine for this one!

I will say that it left me with an urge to watch A Time To Kill again (love that movie so I need little encouragement), but that movie was very intense/serious whereas BlackkKlansman was very humorous in light of the subject matter (intentionally).

So just as long as you’re prepared for the terrible language and subject matter, you’ll be good!

Small note under here, it’s not a ‘spoiler’ since it’s not technically in the movie but some might see it as such so just being careful:

At the very end before credits roll, there are clips of the protests from Charlottesville in 2017, including the car that rammed into the crowd and killed a girl. I don’t remember there being like blood shown, but I thought it fair to warn about!

I’M HERE. I can’t wait. No Adam though even though it’s in New York. But he’s filming for episode 9 so…I’ll allow it. 💙💜❤

Spike Lee will be leading the Q&A though so =D

It was unsurprisingly fantastic! Definitely recommend. As always, I could have used more Adam just because. John David was awwesome. Haven’t seen anything with him before.
